Why join a mentorship group?
- The pandemic may be isolating, but we're here to make sure you have enough social support.
- Our mentorship program offers a wholesome experience between you, other students, and an experienced upper-year mentor.
- Whether you are looking to form friendships, learn academic advice, or seek direction, a mentorship program is right for you!
- Stay up to date with LFC event and opportunities throughout the year!
How it works
- You will be placed into a group of 8-10 students led by an experienced mentor.
- Each group of students is created based on personality, similar interests and year of study.
- You will meet with your mentor and group once a week for about half to one hour as a weekly check-in. Each meeting is optional.
- Meetings can include social discussions about your lives, activities, and judgment-free advice and tips!
- Every 2-3 weeks there will be a game/mentor night where longer online games will be hosted. If it is close to midterm season an online study group may also be an option.
How to Apply
- If you wish to apply, great! Start by filling out our application form below.
- Once completed, the mentorship team will place you in a group based on your answers to the form, ensuring you're surrounded by like-minded peers!
- You will be notified and invited to a meeting with your group and designated mentor soon.
cOMMITMENT
- There is no commitment needed to sign up for the mentorship program. As the semester gets heavy we understand if you feel you no longer have time to attend sessions. You can choose to attend as many or as few sessions as you want.
- If you prefer to only attend mostly the game nights this is an option as well! Hopefully you will find the sessions beneficial and continue to attend them throughout the semester but it will never be mandatory or expected!
